Environment sheet BLOC-series

Vestre is strongly committed to the environment and our production process is quality and environmentally certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. We are a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative Norway (IEH) and compensate for all greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with prevailing UN and EU standards. All our furniture is manufactured in state-of-the-art premises in Norway and Sweden.

Materials

Wood

Linseed oil proofed Nordic pine
Standard wood details with a 15-year anti-rot warranty. High-quality FSC-certified timber from Norway and Sweden. Hardness: 1,9 on the Brinell scale. For outdoor use.
Kebony Radiata
Wood details in Kebonised pine based on Norwegian technology. The product carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Hardness: 4.2 on the Brinell scale. For outdoor use.
Oiled oak
Wood details in oiled oak are recommended for indoor use. Hardness: 3.7 on the Brinell scale.
Oiled ash
Wood details in oiled ash are recommended for indoor use. Hardness: 4.0 on the Brinell scale.

Steel

Hot-dip galvanised steel
All steel components are hot-dip galvanised, which produces a matt grey surface after a while. We offer a lifetime anti-rust warranty.
Hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated steel
The powder coating process was developed to satisfy the tough requirements of the Norwegian offshore industry. The finish must be of very high quality and also conform to corrosion class C5-M (EN 12944). Vestre offers more than 200 standard RAL classic colours at no extra charge.

Products from Vestre are designed for lengthy use in challenging and harsh environments. Choose from almost 200 standard colours at no extra cost. All steel parts are hot-dip galvanised and come with a lifetime warranty against rust and a 15-year adhesion guarantee on powder coating. * For outdoor use, we recommend linseed oil-treated Nordic pine or Kebony Radiata, both of which come with a 15-year guarantee against rot. * For indoor use, oiled oak or ash is recommended. We can also offer other types of wood and painted or fire-retardant wood. As part of our environmental policy, we never supply wood from the rainforest.
