About the project
Kilden is Kristiansand’s main arts venue with nearly 200,000 visitors each year, enjoying concerts, a symphony orchestra, theatre and the opera.
The building’s key characteristic is the architectural convergence between artist and audience. The individual shapes of each hall are covered by an undulating timber wall. The monumental and abstract walls, clad in local oak, separate reality from fantasy. Kilden has received international recognition for its architecture.
Vestre has supplied furniture and litter bins.
