About the project
As part of the security measures surrounding the national assembly, planters have been placed along Akersgata.
The parliament building at Karl Johans Gate 22 is the headquarters of Norway’s national assembly. The building was completed in 1866 and was designed by the Swedish architect Emil Victor Langlet.
In recent years several security measures have been introduced in the area. In order to retain an open and accessible urban environment, planters have been installed to prevent unauthorised vehicular access.
