Life on Land
Vestre almost exclusively uses environmentally certified Scandinavian timber from what may be considered the world’s most sustainable forests.
Sustainability goals:

Loss of rainforest is a global issue
Vestre almost exclusively uses environmentally certified Scandinavian timber from what may be considered the world’s most sustainable forests. As the loss of rainforest is a global issue, we’ve made a conscious choice not to incorporate tropical woods in our products.
In 2017, Vestre became the world’s first urban furniture manufacturer with the Nordic Swan Eco-label certification. We now have more than 350 eco-certified products, and we’re not stopping there. We have developed the COAST bench in collaboration with Ogoori, a startup that is developing a sustainable supply chain forthe collection and recycling of ocean waste plastic.

Empower
A start-up whose mission is to end the plastic pollution problem through putting a value on plastic and employing local people on the ground for cleaning up, thus providing a benefit for society as well as employment in fringe areas.
Goal:
Developing a credit system with
micro-loan capabilities using
plastic collection to pay back, and
contributing to the removal of 600 kg
of plastic in 2019
