Green cities are smart cities
Cities are responsible for 75% of all greenhouse gas emissions. Together with Young Sustainable Impact(YSI), among others, we are researching how large cities can become more energy-effective, through new mobility solutions, recycling of surface water, and by creating outdoor spaces that are more attractive. We offer waste containers that send out a signal when they need to be emptied, and we are making more and more products with charging options and wireless connectivity. At the same time, we believe that smart cities should also contain tech-free spaces, spaces where we can relax, put away the smartphone, enjoy the fresh air and simply be.
YSI
Young Sustainable Impact is a movement of young people interested in doing something to solve the SDGs. The team has been successful in attracting tens of thousands of youngsters into an intensive accelerator programme, culminating in an investor day in Oslo, of which Vestre is a proud sponsor.
